A message from the founder
When I founded Mentor Members, My Vision was simple but deeply intentional
To make high-quality, real-world mentoring accessible and affordable for founders of start-ups, SME owners, and departmental managers who are navigating the daily pressures of running and growing a business or department.
Too often, business leaders are expected to have all the answers. In reality, many are making high-stakes decisions in isolation, without a sounding board, without challenge, and without the benefit of experience beyond their own. Effective mentoring changes that. It provides perspective, clarity, and confidence. It helps leaders avoid costly mistakes, accelerate learning, and make better decisions sooner. Most importantly, it gives people space to think something that is increasingly rare in busy operational roles.
Mentoring should not be a luxury reserved for large corporates or those who can afford expensive consultancy. At Mentor Members, we believe mentoring should be practical, relevant, flexible, and cost-effective. It should support people where they are now, while helping them move toward where they want to be. Whether that means growing a business, improving performance, leading teams more effectively, or simply gaining confidence in decision-making, the right mentoring relationship can be transformational.
This belief is grounded in my own journey.
I have spent over 35 years in senior management and entrepreneurship, building, scaling, and leading businesses across the UK and internationally. I began my career through an apprenticeship in the automotive industry, progressing from technician to sales and into management at a young age. By 23, I was one of the youngest Sales Managers in the Ford UK dealer network, responsible for team performance, profitability, and staff development.
My career then moved into senior leadership and turnaround roles, including transforming loss-making operations into profitable, award-winning businesses. As a General Manager, I led large teams, rebuilt failing dealerships, and delivered nationally recognised results through clear leadership, coaching, and a strong customer-focused culture.
Driven by a passion for customer experience and performance improvement, I later founded my own business from home, growing it into a national organisation working with global brands including Ford, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Mazda. The business expanded into multiple sectors, developed proprietary measurement and coaching models, and eventually grew to over 100 employees with international operations in the United States and Canada.
Along the way, I experienced significant success and meaningful challenge. I have scaled businesses, led international expansion, navigated complex operational demands, and ultimately made the difficult decision to close a long-established company when market conditions changed. These experiences shaped my understanding of leadership, resilience, decision-making, and the realities business owners and managers face.
Mentor Members was created from that experience and learning. At this stage of my career, my motivation is not financial reward, but impact. The purpose of Mentor Members is to support others with honest, practical mentoring that is grounded in lived experience — not theory. Through affordable membership and bespoke mentoring programmes, clients gain access to experienced mentors who will challenge thinking, provide guidance, and support better outcomes across operational, strategic, and financial areas.
Mentor Members is built on integrity, practicality, and measurable outcomes. It exists to help people grow with confidence, avoid unnecessary pitfalls, and succeed on their own terms.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I appreciate how valuable your time is and would welcome the opportunity to support you or your organisation.

Every business I’ve started began with little more than a vague idea, plenty of ambition, and a determination to make it work.
Over my 35-year business journey, I’ve built and developed successful businesses — but it certainly wasn’t all plain sailing. Along the way, I also experienced failures. Those moments were challenging, uncomfortable, and at times costly. I learned a great deal from them, and they shaped the way I think about business today. But with honest reflection, I can say this: with the right external, affordable support, some of those situations might have been handled differently — or even avoided altogether.
Like many entrepreneurs, I often carried the weight alone. Decisions were made without a sounding board, problems were worked through in isolation, and progress sometimes came through trial and error. That approach can be stressful, expensive, and disruptive — not just for the entrepreneur, but for the people around them as well.
The reality for start-ups and young businesses is tough. Around 20% fail within their first year, and almost half don’t survive beyond five years. In many cases, it’s not a lack of passion, effort, or belief — it’s the absence of guidance at key moments when experience and perspective could make all the difference.
I also know how important cost is, especially in the early stages of a business. When resources are tight, every investment has to earn its place. That understanding is exactly what led me to create Mentor Members.
Mentor Members was born from my own experiences — both the successes and the setbacks. It exists to offer accessible, cost-effective mentoring, tailored to the real needs of both the entrepreneur and the business. Not an off-the-shelf programme. Not a one-size-fits-all solution. But practical, relevant support designed to help founders navigate challenges more confidently and avoid having to face them alone.
Starting a business will always involve pressure and uncertainty. But it doesn’t have to be a lonely journey. You don’t have to handle everything on your own.
