Our Terms and Conditions can be found here:
Success is measurable progress—clearer strategy, stronger leadership capability, improved performance, and the mentee becoming increasingly self-sufficient.
Yes. Our mentors have extensive experience working with founders, SME owners, and departmental managers across multiple industries and growth stages.
Our mentors draw from real-world experience leading businesses, scaling teams, managing change, and navigating uncertainty in competitive markets.
Common blind spots include lack of strategic focus, insufficient delegation, unclear KPIs, reactive decision-making, and underdeveloped leadership capability.
Mentor Members specialise in start-ups, SMEs, operational leadership, growth, and change management. Where highly specialised expertise is required, we are transparent and can match or refer appropriately.
We combine both—asking structured questions to build insight while offering direct, experience-based advice when clarity or speed is needed.
Each session is goal-driven, agenda-led, and action-oriented, with agreed outcomes and follow-up actions.
Typically monthly or fortnightly sessions, adjusted to business needs and intensity of support required.
Engagements commonly range from 3 to 12 months, with regular reviews to ensure ongoing value.
All mentoring relationships operate under strict confidentiality and, where required, formal agreements.
Yes. Preparation and follow-through are essential to maximising mentoring value.
Clarifying priorities, strengthening leadership capability, and aligning strategy with measurable outcomes.
Openness, honesty, commitment, and willingness to take action.
Individuals who are resistant to feedback, unwilling to take responsibility, or not committed to change.
Cost is an important factor. Entrepreneurs often weigh mentoring fees against potential return on investment. The real value lies in avoiding costly mistakes, accelerating growth, improving profitability, and gaining clarity faster than working alone. Many business owners see mentoring as an investment rather than an expense.
Business owners want clarity on results. While outcomes vary, mentoring typically helps improve strategic focus, confidence in decision-making, accountability, and business performance.
Time commitment is a major consideration. Most mentoring relationships involve regular sessions (monthly or bi-monthly), plus time between meetings to implement actions. Entrepreneurs often ask how much preparation is required and how mentoring fits around an already busy schedule.
Entrepreneurs frequently ask whether a mentor must have worked in their specific industry. While industry knowledge can be valuable, many business owners benefit more from a mentor with broad commercial experience, leadership insight, and a track record of building or scaling businesses. The key is experience that is relevant to your challenges.
This is a very common question. A mentor draws on personal business experience to guide and advise, often taking a longer-term view of the business and the entrepreneur. Coaches typically focus on performance and mindset, while consultants are usually hired to deliver a specific outcome or solution. A mentor supports both the business and the individual over time.
Entrepreneurs often want to understand the practical value of a mentor. A business mentor provides guidance, challenge, and perspective based on real-world experience. They help clarify vision, support decision-making, and hold you accountable for taking action. Unlike a consultant, a mentor works with you rather than simply telling you what to do.
Membership, which includes Tier One mentoring and a promotional advert on the Mentor Members website. The minimum membership term is three months. For full details, please review the pricing page on the website.
Membership fees are paid monthly in advance by Direct Debit. Any additional tailored Tier Two mentoring programmes are invoiced separately, also on a monthly, in-advance basis.
The initial mentoring focus depends on the mentee and their immediate requirements. A common and effective starting point is developing a clear vision for the business. From that vision, the mentor will help you create a practical strategy, providing support and guidance as you move forward on your journey of improvement and growth.
Affiliate members are companies that can potentially support Mentor Members’ mentee members by providing relevant products or services. Where possible, affiliate members will offer advantageous or preferential rates to Mentor Members. In return, Mentor Members will create and host a promotional advert on the website for a small monthly fee. This arrangement is focused primarily on supporting members rather than generating revenue, while also giving affiliate members exposure to the wider, non-membership community through the Mentor Members platform.
The promotional advert is included in your membership fee at no extra cost and is provided in addition to Tier One mentoring. For the duration of your membership, you will be able to promote your business on the Mentor Members website, helping to increase visibility and awareness. Once you become a member, the advert will be developed and placed on the site, including a direct link back to your business, to support promotion and potential lead generation.
